Restructuring Senior Accountant

Our client is currently working on an excellent opportunity for a professional who has experience in Restructuring Accounting to join their team as a Restructuring Accountant. This large Insolvency and Restructuring firm have a huge amount of organic growth within its offices and as such, has the capacity to take on a Restructuring Accountant to support its business recovery unit. This role will sit within the Brisbane office, with a focus on supporting and maintaining accurate reporting.

They are able to offer fantastic support in terms of training and development and have uncapped progression potential, making it a great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their accountancy career.

To join the Restructuring and  Insolvency team, you will need to be an advanced-level accountant with demonstrable experience in restructuring and insolvency accounting. We are looking for individuals that are committed and enthusiastic about accountancy, and who can be flexible and adaptable working in a continuously changing environment.

The role will include:
  • Manage day-to-day issues on formal restructuring engagements, including trade-on management, receipts, and payments, and assist in stakeholder communication both written and verbal
  • Assist in advisory, informal engagements, including independent business reviews and informal turnaround assignments.
  • Compiling information, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations
  • Building and developing relationships with clients including promoting the business restructuring offering
  • Ensuring all working papers are accurate and the file is maintained in an appropriate manner
  • Ensuring investigations are completed and any identified contraventions are reported on a timely basis
The candidate should have the following to bring to the role to ensure they are successful:
  • Work experience in a similar role from 2-4 years
  • Degree-qualified in the relevant area
  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Ability to work as a team and independently as required
  • Strong communication with clients and team members to ensure strong relationships
  • High attention to detail due to the sensitive nature of the work
