The Company
Brisbane-based commercial builder delivering retail, industrial, commercial, hospitality and workplace projects with a strong pipeline and continued growth across the business.
The company is strengthening its delivery capability with experienced people from respected commercial builder backgrounds. This is not a thinly resourced setup where you are left carrying everything yourself. You will be working with capable operators who understand construction, commercial delivery and what proper project support should look like.
The Role
Working closely with the Project Manager and broader delivery team, you will take responsibility for key commercial and contract administration functions across live projects.
You will be involved in:
• Procurement and subcontractor letting
• Scope reviews and trade package preparation
• Subcontractor negotiations and contract administration
• Variations, claims, EOTs and commercial correspondence
• Cost reporting, forecasting and budget tracking
• RFIs, document control and project reporting
• Liaison with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams
• Supporting projects from procurement through to final account
This role will suit someone who enjoys being close to the project, commercially across the detail, and part of a team that is delivering properly structured work.
About You
You may already be operating as a Senior Contract Administrator, or you may be a strong Contract Administrator ready to step up.
Ideally, you will have:
• Experience as a CA or SCA with a commercial builder
• Exposure to commercial, industrial, retail, fit-out or refurbishment projects
• Strong procurement, variations, claims and cost reporting capability
• Confidence dealing with subcontractors, consultants and project teams
• Good commercial discipline, attention to detail and follow-through
• A construction-related qualification would be well regarded
• Experience with systems such as Procore, Jobpac, Aconex, Payapps, HammerTech or Bluebeam would be beneficial
