My client is a globally recognized manufacturer of solar energy components, renowned for their cutting-edge technology and innovation. Serving residential, commercial, and industrial markets, they provide high-quality renewable energy solutions worldwide. As their presence continues to grow, they are now seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their expanding team based in Melbourne.

The role:

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful commissioning, troubleshooting, and long-term performance of solar inverter and battery systems. Providing Level 2 support to installers and end customers, both remotely and on-site, you’ll deliver expert guidance to resolve technical issues and ensure all projects comply with Australian standards.
  • Deliver technical support and troubleshooting for PV and hybrid solar systems.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning via phone, email, and on-site visits.
  • Provide advanced diagnostics and high-level support for solar and battery systems.
  • Conduct training sessions for installers on system installation and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated technical issues.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation to support field operations.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for product improvements based on field feedback.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with solar, battery, and inverter systems
  • Solid understanding of inverters, hybrid energy systems, and related technologies
  • Familiarity with AS/NZS 4777.2 and relevant Australian electrical standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused approach
  • Willingness to travel as required for site visits and support activities
